Hello Experts,

How to improve DSL connection? Sometimes there are some connection problem but I know it is just normal to all internet service provider’s system all over the world for they are handling too many data. But in case there is a way to improve DSL connection can you give me a suggestion or idea?

How to improve dsl connection?

You can judge your internet connection by the following reasons:

• Connection type.
• Connection speed.
• Packets send and receive over the network.

Make sure that you are using your DSL personally and no one is connected to your line some intruders may access your DSL line without your permission it is more sensitive case when you are using the wireless device to access your network. So please make sure that there is no such error in DSL line. Make sure you use the Exact IP for the network that is provided by your service provider to insure the network connectivity. These are some major reasons that can cause in DSL connection errors, so check them all and make your life easy.

How to improve dsl connection?

 

To increase the connection speed of DSL, you can use below options;

 

• Delete all the history data and cookies from your browser. They usually back up and hence slow down your internet connection. In most browsers, you can opt for clearing history through tools tab, which is usually located at the top of the screen.

 

• Your computer saves a reserve bandwidth.  You can reduce this reserved bandwidth to gain more speed. All computers do not allow your internet connection to use maximum 20% of the top speed of the connection. This is a safety option to prevent your computer from overheating. But if you do not use the internet connection throughout the day, you have nothing to worry. To do this follow below instructions, it will speed up your connection speed up to 20%.

• Click Run from the Start menu (Click start and press windows key+R for Windows 7 and Vista)
• Type gpedit.msc in the text box
• Click on “Local Computer Policy”
• Go to ""Computer Configuration""-> ""Administrative Templates""-> ""Network""-> ""QOS Packet Scheduler"" -> ""Limited Reservable Bandwidth.""
• Click the bandwidth slider bar and bring it to 0. 

• Speed can be slow if your modem is slow. You may not get the right speed if your modem is slow. You can find the speed information of your modem from the sticker at the bottom of the device or from the user manual. It is described as kbps or kbits (bits per second). If the speed is below 512 kbps, then the modem is slow (though this is about 10 times faster than a dial up modem!). If you found your modem is slow, no way, you need to purchase a new modem. 

 

• You may request for a service upgrade to your DSL provider. Though it will increase your internet speed, but it will also increase your internet bill.

When you buy a DSL Connection from the company you expect the speed which is advertise. Before to plan for a new connection you must try to improve the performance of the modem. Try to do a number of different things, check computer’s hardware like AP, check the LAN setting, internet setting. Be sure you have installed an antivirus in computer, because virus attacks seriously into computer and your net speed maximum chance to low. Firstly check your internal network and after check Access point setting if you use Wi-Fi connection.

How to improve dsl connection?

If you think your DSL connection is slow or getting slow then i have two best solutions for you :

1) Check your modem: Check the speed of the modem you have, it is likely that you have a modem that gives out  a less speed than that you are paying the provider.

2) Cookies and Histories: Check that your cookies and the histories are cleared in your browser . Files on the browser starts backing up when you are using your DSL connection.

Hello Lindsay Wendy,

 

Try to increase the speed of your internet connection by adding additional payment.

Also try to upgrade the hardware of your computer specs.

Or delete some unused programs and files too.
