There is a default limit set mailboxes in the database. Exchange management shell helps us in configuring the storage quota which controls the size of the mailboxes.
Step 1: Go to Exchange Management Control.
Step 2: Expand Server Configuration in console tree and then select mailbox.
Step 3: Choose the server for which you want to configure storage quota and then mailbox database.
Step 4: Select Properties in the action pane.
Step 5: Click Limits tab in Properties.
Step 6: After completing the fields such as Issue warning at (KB), etc and then press OK.
