How do I insert an Excel file on Word document? I am preparing a Word document. I do have some Excel files as well which I want to paste in Word document and want  those to get that Excel file pen when user click the file icon.

Hi,

If you want to insert Excel file on Word document then follow these steps.

1.       First open both Excel and insert Excel file on Word document.

2.       Then just insert a link of your Excel document into your Word document.  As example C:Documents and SettingsAdministratorMy Documentsrecord.xlsx

3.       Link must be point the original Excel document  

4.       Then save both documents. And do not move them from their particular location.

This is the way you can insert Excel document into your Word document.  Then if you change the content of one document, other one will change automatically by its cells, fields or position.

  2. Go to insert Menu
  3. Select Object
  4. Select Create from file from Tab menu
  5. Browse your desired files
  6. Select Check box((Display as Icon)
  7. Then OK.
