How to Install New Windows XP on my Compaq Mini

Good day! My cousin in Norway gave me this laptop model Compaq Mini 110c-1100SO that she does not use it anymore because of some technical issues .

1. After 10-15 minutes OS Crash with Blue Screen Errors

2.  Norwegian Win XP, I tried to go to the settings but it doesn't work.

3. No CD/DVD rom so i can't use my Win Xp CD to repair/re-install OS

Could someone help me on how to Format and Re-install Win XP OS.

How to Install New Windows XP on my Compaq Mini

Try one of the options below so that you reinstall the operating system.

1. Burn your Windows XP CD to a USB. Use image burning software to this task. To be more safe, save a copy of you Windows XP with the .ISO file extension. Use programs such as PowerISO or MagicISO to do this. The you need to boot the USB device first when you will start installing this.

2. Get an External CD ROM or if you have the internal one, buy an enclosure or converters to USB. Plug it in the laptop but just like the solution at top, set it to first boot USB or sometime USB CDROM.

Then just run the setup and you will have no problem installing it. Unless there are other issues.

Note: Sometimes laptop needs their recovery disc, so make sure that he sent it to you as well.
