Which is the easiest and most effective upgrades I can do to my PC is to install more RAM memory (random access memory) but how I will install it?What else to check before performing this upgrade though and how I will figure out my motherboard will support ?
How to install Ram and what else I should consider
To install a RAM or Physical Memory on a computer.
1. Open the CPU to see the motherboard.
2. You will see the RAM card just like what you posted.
3. You can detach the RAM card by releasing the two clips on the ends of the RAM card.
4. After releasing the clips, you should be able to pull the RAM card out of the motherboard.

Things to consider when upgrading your RAM or Physical Memory:
1. Check your operating system type. For example if you have a 32-bit Windows 7, you can only use up to 4GB of RAM. Only 64-bit Windows 7 can handle RAM or Physical Memory higher than 4GB.
2. The type of RAM you need. You need to know if your RAM is DIMM or SODIMM. The best way is to bring your current RAM card when you purchase a new RAM card.
3. The motherboard and clock speed or memory clock. You need to check if your motherboard can support the clock speed of the new RAM card you will purchase.
To install the new RAM card, just slide it in to the RAM socket of the motherboard and tighten the clips again on both sides.
You should be able to upgrade your RAM now.

How to install Ram and what else I should consider
Hello Joy,
The memory that you are using is a DDR memory, from observing the image of the memory that you have posted above. You know that it is a DDR memory because it has only one notch as opposed to SDR memory that has two notches. Therefore you will need to get another DDR memory so as to perform the memory upgrade.
On your motherboard, look for the memory slots and see if there is an empty memory slot where you can slot in another memory. If is not there, you will just have to buy one bigger RAM and remove the one that is there and slot in the new one. Another thing to be cautious about is how much memory you can upgrade to. If your computer has a 2GB memory then you could opt to getting another 2GB for upgrade so as to get the dual memory advantages which ensures a good speed for your computer.
