How to install Ubuntu in my PC

Hi,

I am a user of Windows. Recently I wanted to try Linux. I have heard may things about Ubuntu and want to try it. 

But I don’t know anything about it & how to setup it up. Is it the same way I setup Windows in my PC?

Or is it something else?

Can I play all videos in Ubuntu. If yes then how?

How to install Ubuntu in my PC

Ubuntu cannot set up, the same way you setup windows. If you have a CD of Ubuntu, then follow the steps or download it and follow these commands to install Ubuntu alongside Windows.

• Insert your first CD and restart PC
• Then when the disc loads then we have to select English then 
• Select Install Ubuntu then you have to select many options like Location, Keyboard Layout etc.
• Then when you need to select a partition, you need to create two drives. One is Swap & another is EXT3, where Ubuntu will install.
• After doing this select EXT3 partition for setup there. Then click install button.

If you do this right, then the install will be completed successfully. Again If you want to install Ubuntu in the same drive of Windows then insert the disc and start your computer. Then from the Ubuntu menu select to Install Inside Windows.

That will do the work.
