I've been seeing a lot of graphics design that I never knew that it is possible to make it in Photoshop. I've seen glass ball, 3D text, and a lot more. Can anyone here know about this? Please share tips in doing those things here! thanks!

So the Basics in making your image into 3D or Realistic view is that you should have these 3 key elements: Shadow, Highlights and Midtones. So imagine a red apple with a lighting effects on its side. Now, you would notice there would be a 3 significant colors: Red, bright red, and dark red. These are what I am talking about. So in making your image 3D like, you should have sufficient knowledge on these.

There is one simple trick you can use! After creating your text or any other images or shapes in Photoshop, click on the blending options and choose Drop shadow and Inner glow. This can instantly make your text or image to a 3D look! Try it for your self!

You can also use the dodge and burn tool. The dodge can make the pixels look brighter and on the other hand, the burn makes the pixels look darker. So use the burn tool in making shadows while dodge in making highlights. Please remember in using realistic light effects to effectively make your image stand out.

For the metal effect tool. Try using the blending option of the layer and select gradient overlay. Choose the color black and white to produce a metal effect. This too can make it look 3D especially if your image is something to do with metals.
