How to manage Hibernate in windows 7

I am a new user of MS Windows 7 and i am fascinated by the way the systems goes into  hibernation, my computer goes off completely  and i am not able to bring it up quickly even if a hit the keyboard, i have tried this severally and it takes long time to come up.

Does any one know how to go about this issue?

To on or off hibernation in windows 7, follow below procedure:

 

1. Go to start menu
2. In start search text box, type cmd
3. Right click on Command prompt from the search result
4. Select run as administrator
5. Click continue
6. Type powercfg.exe/hibernate off in the command prompt
7. Press enter
8. Type exit and press enter to close the command prompt.
 
Follow the same procedure to make hibernation available, only type powercfg.exe/hibernate on in step 6.

To activate hibernation, you need to follow these simple steps:

start > control panel > power options > at your power plan select >change plan settings > change advanced power settings > double click sleep > double click hibernate > select down Never > enter > double click allow wake timers > select enable > enter > close than again click

Go to the select a power plan page & define what your power buttons do
 *You will see "When I press the power button option" & you answer with 'Hibernate' & save your settings.
 

*Then do these-
go to control panel home > Start Menu > Power button action list > Click an item > OK

Now You can enjoy hibernation with Windows 7
