Hi there, Some of my computers are with windows XP, and the rest are with Windows 7.

When using windows XP I am unable to find my folders on the server even, but my VPN tunnel is all up and running.

I'm using a wireless connection.

Can you help?

You might want to check if you have enough rights to view on that specific location in your server particularly on that shared drive. If you have a full privilege to view and access the folders on that network drive, check the folder settings in your Windows Explorer.

  1. In your Windows Explorer, click Tools then Folder Options.
  2. Click View tab.
  3. Under Advanced settings, select Show hidden files and folders then click OK.

Try browsing the folders again in your server.

Hi.

There are possibly two reasons why you can’t see your files in server.

  • You don’t have admin rights to access the files.

To solve this problem you have to open networking center and in sharing allow it to everyone with read/write rights.

  • Files are hidden.

Go to folder options an enable view all files.

But it’s possibly the first issue not 2nd one.
