Yes, Thunderbolt EX supports all  ASUS Z77 and ASUS H77 motherboards and it also supports TB headers namely P8Z77-V DELUXE, P8Z77-V, P8Z77-V LE, P8H77-V, SABERTOOTH Z77, P8Z77-V PRO, P8Z77-V LE PLUS, P8Z77-V LK, P8H77-M PRO and MAXIMUS V GENE. Using a card that would be plugged into the PCIe slot, it would then directly connect to the header and plugs into the DisplayPort output on your motherboard using a system link. You can use this card after you have done all required steps. After all were hooked up, you can now plug in devices and can start data transfer and video connectivity. However, the price of this Thunderbolt EX has not been announced yet.

Hello Jordon Troutman,

[UPDATE] Thunderboltex with P8Z77-V premium was worlds first certified thunderbolt motherboard. And yes it supported all 7 series motherboard which were P8Z77-V, P8Z77-V LE, P8H77-V, Sabertooth Z77, P8Z77-V PRO, P8Z77-V LE PLUS, P8Z77-V LK, P8H77-M PRO and MAXIMUS V GENE.

It absolutely was the primary add-on card within the market and with the most recent I/O. It plugs into bottom PCIe slot, and take up a 4x link. But unfortunately, the hardest part of it is ASUS exposed that they never sold any of it. They were just planning but all of a sudden then canceled it. They didn't mention the reason.

Thank you.
