I am experiencing problems when trying to open vsd with chrome. I need clear instructions on what I need to do so that I can manage to open files with a .vsd extension using the google chrome browser.

Lucidchart would be your option in viewing Visio files in your Google Chrome browser. They have a free Visio viewer for read-only purposes, and they also have premium products for a much more versatility. The Free Visio Viewer support file formats .vsd, .vdx, .vsdx, supports version 2007, 2010, and 2013
