How to open my password protected Card ?

Hi,

I have a 1GB Memory card but card is password protected. Any how I have lost my password.  When I insert my memory card  into the USB port, the same is not shown in My Computer and the memory card doesn't show if it is password protected.

I have tested my card on another PC but no results were found. Have you any idea or tips on how to open my memory card ?

How to open my password protected Card ?

You can solve your problem only on one condition. That is put your memory card again into your mobile and format it. When you format your memory card, it will remove all the contents. Then reset your password again. If it does not work, then your can recover your memory card by using the restore option in you mobile.

The format will erase all the data and passwords the memory card may have and you can add a new password again to your memory card but it is true that the computer can't show the memory card which is password protected as the computer can't map the memory arrangement scheme having a password security.

If you have a problem with your memory card. You can try some of the password recovery software. It might somehow help. But I think what you should do is format it by either using a computer or mobile phone to format it. Then use any file recovery software to try and recover your important files.

It could also be a virus caused problem so its really a must to reformat your memory card before it destroys many things. You can also try scanning the card first it might help fix the problem at first. It is a possibility and its worth a try.

Dear Dream,

The easiest way to open your memory card just format it but in this case you will loss your all information from your memory card. If you want kept your data on your memory then you can follow one complex procedure. I am now just giving the procedure to find your password.

1.    Insert card into your phone but don’t access it through phone.

2.    Run FExplorer and Open the path C:system.

3.    You will find a file called mmcstore ,rename the file mmcstore.txt

4.    Copy that file (mmcstore.txt) to your pc and open that file in notepad.

5.    You will find your password in that file.

If you can do it properly you will find your password.
