I have some old files in outlook 2007.

I want to open and manage them.

How to open outlook PST?

I will be grateful if you kindly tell be about how to open, backup, add or edit any part.

How to open outlook PST and manage it?

Hi there Thomas,

Opening your old PST archives is really a simple thing. 

 

The first thing you need to do is to move the .pst file to your hard drive if it is stored on a removable device. Once it is on the hard drive, right click it and make sure that the Read-Only attribute is NOT selected.

 

Open your Outlook and on the File menu select Import and Export. Choose the option Import from another program or file and click Next.

 

Choose the Personal Folder File and click Next again. 

 

Type or copy and paste the path and name of your .pst file and click Next.

 

The only thing that's left to be done is to select the folder you'd like to import. If you want the whole .pst file, just click on the top of the list and click Finish.

 

After it's done, you'll have the full access to the mails stored in the .pst file via your Outlook.

Hello,

If you facing problem in opening the PST files in outlook. Try some other application which can easily open PST files.

 

There is a application called  "Kernel Outlook PST Viewer".

 

This application is freeware and easy to use it has all the options which are available in outlook.

 

This application also opens the files up to 2GB which are corrupted.
