I am wondering whether I can optimize the 2nd subnet such that it is the first subnet to access the IP address from DHCP server when all subnets start simultaneously as I have 8 different networks and a DHCP scope for each subnet .Can this be realized? If it is then please help.
How to optimize the 2nd subnet
Hallo Noel,
In the network IP addressing, as far as I know, there is only on subnet mask that can be used on a single network and therefore I am kind of confused when you say that you want to optimize the second subnet to access the IP address from the DHCP server when all subnets start simultaneously.
The only thing that I know you can optimize on the network is the DNS server that you are using. Since you may have a lot of DNS servers on the network, when setting up the configurations you are given a place to enter two DNS servers that you will think will offer you the best network connection with the first being priority.
You can also optimize the gateway points that you need to use.
