How to pin my Recycle Bin into a task bar?

Hello experts,

My problem is really simple, yet I don't know how to do it right. I just want to pin my Recycle Bin in my Task Bar. I searched on the Internet and followed all the steps provided but I got lost after obtaining the Quick Launch on my Task Bar. All the guidelines available online are for Windows 8 and I am running Windows 8.1 right now. Can someone please help me on how to pin the Recycle Bin to my task bar?

How to pin my Recycle Bin into a task bar?

Step to pin Recycle Bin to Taskbar:

1) Create a new shortcut on the desktop.

2) For the location type in the following (explorer.exe shell:RecycleBinFolder)

3) Then click next.

4) Name it Recycle Bin ,then click finish.

5) Right click the icon, then go to properties.

6) Click change icon button.

7) Type the following into the field (%SystemRoot%system32imageres.dll)

8) Find the recycle Bin icon , select it then click OK.

9) Click on apply , then OK.

10) Then pin it to task bar.

How to pin my Recycle Bin into a task bar?

Hi,

This is indeed very simple to do, well apparently but it’s a bit of tricky!

1. First of all for windows 7 all you have to do is to drag the recycle bin to the taskbar and then drop it.

2. After that you cannot yet see the Recycle bin there but If you click the Windows Explorer icon and while holding the right click drag upwards. You'll see a pop up menu and Walla there is the recycle bin in this menu!
