Hi,

I wish you could have given a little more context on how your file is behaving. Maybe you created your file in Ms PowerPoint 2007 and you did not save in the compatibility format and you are trying to open in Ms PowerPoint 2003 and it is refusing. Just ensure that you save the file in ms PowerPoint -2003 format.

To save the file in the ms PowerPoint 97-2003 compatibility, go to file in the ms PowerPoint menu bar and click on save as, choose the ms PowerPoint 97-2003 compatibility format and click on it. In the next box that shows up, choose the location where you want to save the file then click save.

Hope this helps.

You can sometimes recover some or all of a corrupt presentation by clicking Slides from Files on the Insert menu. Open a new blank presentation. On the Insert menu, click Slides from Files. In the Slide Finder dialog box, browse to your corrupt file and click Insert All.

If clicking Insert All does not work, try clicking Insert to insert individual slides. If your corrupt slides do insert, they will take on the blank presentation formatting. You can apply the original design template to correct this. You can experiment by selecting the Keep source formatting check box in the Slide Finder dialog box.
