How to recover a system using updated Roxio Backon Track 2007

My net book has a preinstalled Roxio Backon Track 2007 application. The program has indicated that a state copy was made on 19-01-2010. I tried to use this state copy to recover my system but I get an error saying: "It´s not possible to start the service, because is disabled or doesn´t have devices associated to it."

I know that the service was already enabled. Now, I wonder, what the problem is. The net book is installed with a Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 3 32 bit. Is it possible to move the state copy to another location and install an updated version of Roxio Backon Track?

I plan to recover the system once it is reinstalled. Will that work? Please help me in fixing this issue.

How to recover a system using updated Roxio Backon Track 2007

The entire system is that the previous installation has to be removed completely. This removal is to be complete means all the files and the registry settings are to be removed from the system to get a very well collection of documents to find an trace the exact location for the fault.
