How to reduce the CPU usage of an existing PHP script

Hello Mary I Pendleton,

                           If you want to lessen your CPU usage then you have to do some of the steps so that you can get the desired result. All you need is to go the Run mode from the start menu after that you have to type a command there "msconfig". Form there stop those services that you do to want to perform and also close that php file which you want to close after that you can get your desired result.

How to reduce the CPU usage of an existing PHP script

Hi Mary, in order for you to reduce the CPU usage of your account, there are some general rules to follow:

1.  Make sure that any of the web applications that you use have plug-ins or add-ons and that they are upgraded to the latest versions available.
2. All third-party web applications should be upgraded to the latest stable release that is available.
3. You have to remove any unused web applications and/or installed plug-ins/add-ons and also perform a general house-keeping.
4. Enabled any web applications that allow caching.
5. Try reducing the number of MySQL/MSSQL/PostgreSQL queries in case you have developed your own script then optimize the later to use less processing time.

To give you a head start, there are several things that you can check:

1. You must be able to identify and troubleshoot the website that is most likely the reason for the high CPU usage,
2. To check if the host or visitor is most likely the one who is causing the high CPU usage and;
3. Search the file that likely causes the high CPU usage.

 

In instance that the above advices didn’t solve the problem then the next best thing to do is to look for a professional developer or maybe consider to switch to a cloud hosting plan.
