How to remove duplicate songs from Media Player

Hi all,

I am using Dell Inspiron 15 3521 Laptop with Windows 8 on it. My favorite hobby is listening to music. So I loaded about 1000 CD albums on Windows media Player.

Daily I am used to listen music, but the problem is that couple of times, some of the songs from few albums are playing 2 times. They copied 2 times and every time I need to remove one among those two.

Can I delete that duplicate song permanently without disturbing the original song? Can somebody please suggest me how to remove these duplicate songs? Thanks in advance for your kind help.

How to remove duplicate songs from Media Player

Hello,

Unfortunately in windows media player the only option you have is to browse through all song and delete the duplicate if found. But there can be few software provided by Third party which can help solve this problem for you.Though third party software may harm your system. 

I would recommend you to use Duplicate Cleaner software which can assist you to detect the duplicate files in your system and provide you the ways to move or delete those files.
