How to remove new Google Chrome background app?

Hey guys,

I want to know how to remove this Google chrome app which is installed automatically by Google Chrome. This app I really want to remove it because I don't like background running apps that may slow my PC. SO please answer me how to remove this. Thanks in advance.

How to remove new Google Chrome background app?

Hello,

Google Chrome comes with some default apps installed. If you’ve turned on running background apps for those apps, those will keep on running on background even you’re not running Chrome visually.

In order to stop apps running on background,

1. Open the “chrome://settings/” page on a new tab.

2. From the bottom, expand “Show advanced settings”.

3. Under “System” section, uncheck “Continue running background apps when Google Chrome is closed”.

Now, the apps won’t run on background.

You can also remove the app from your Chrome as well. Installed apps can be found on “chrome://extensions/” and “chrome://apps/”. After uninstalling, you should restart your browser.
