Good day,
My PC's on dual boot mode. I have 2 OS (Windows 7 and Linux-Ubuntu). The problem is 4 options are shown on the boot menu.Â
-
Windows 7
-
Windows 7
-
Ubuntu
How do I remove the excess?Â
Thank you in advance.Â

How to remove other options on boot screen.
Hello
Follow these steps:
1. Information about boot menu is stored in the boot.ini file so you need to make it writable. Open cmd and enter this command:
attrib -r boot.ini
2. Now go to Start -> Run and enter this command:Â notepad c:boot.ini
3. As you can on pictures, in this example we have two Windows options, you must know on which partition you "good" windows is, so delete "bad" windows partitions and change the default value of partitions to the "good" one.
But first backup your files before doing this.Â
Cheers.

Hi Jmevengelist,
I have worked on your issue and find the best solution for you. Follow these below steps to remove 2 out of 4 options are shown on the boot menu.
1. Open Run Window (Press Windows key + R )
2. Type msconfig inside the Box
3. Click on Boot Tab (This will show the All 4 options)
4. Then remove 2 wastes out of 4.
5. Click on Apply > Ok and restart your system.
I wish this solution may be helpful. Thanks!
Best,
