Hi,

I am getting Publisher not specified error as I try to run Adobe PDF document from a CD.

Please help me to remove this option.

The autorun. information is given below.

[AutoRun]
Open=c:Program Files (x86)AdobeReader 10.0Acrord32.exe
shellexecute="Blah.pdf"
icon=SC_Reader.ico
label=blah blah..

I am on some copyrighted material so I removed the real file names. "ShellExecute" is the real name of the file.
Label too contains that real name of PDF.

When I open it Windows dialog box opens and user can click PDF to launch but right under of the document it says "Publisher not specified".

Please give me some method to solve this.

Thanks.

Hi,

You actually get this error (publisher not specified error) if you try to launch pdf directly without specifying the application executable.

This is because the autorin.inf only shows signed application publishers like Adobe if you specify the said application executable.

Here is what we can do in this case:

You would have to copy a number of files directly from the CD that you are using. They will exes, dlls and other adobe reader related files. You would also have to change it to Acrobat reader program instead of pdf. Have shellexec launch adobe reader on the options to launch file.
