Hi,
I need to know what is happening with my iPhone. I was listening to music, when in my iPhone's iPod application, the phone was completely locked up at the end of the track, with an almost faded display and worse it became completely unresponsive.
Please help.
Thanks.

How to restart , quit frozen apps and reset iphone
Hi,
Consider forcing the application program to shut down. To get an application program to shut down, do these simple steps:
For iPhone or iPod touch operating iOS 3.0 or even later.
Step 1. Push and hold the Sleep/Wake key right up until the red-colored slider shows up. As soon as the red-colored slider is seen, let go of the Sleep/Wake button.
Step 2. Rather than dragging the red-colored slider, push and hold the Home button for about 6 seconds.
Step 3. In case the device really doesn't go back to the Home screen, check out the following methods to restart the device.
iPhone or iPod touch operating iOS 2.2.1 or earlier.
Step 1. Push and hold the Home button for 6 seconds.
Step 2. In case the device really doesn't go back to the Home screen, check out the following methods to restart the device.
In case you find that the iPhone or iPod touch continues to be unresponsive, consider restarting the device:
Restarting iPhone or iPod touch.
Step 1. In order to switch the device off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button right until the red-colored slider shows up.
Step 2. Slide your finger across the slider in order to switch off an iPhone.
Step 3. To be able to switch iPhone or iPod touch on, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until eventually the actual Apple logo shows up.
In the event, that the iPhone or iPod touch continues to be unresponsive, even after attempting the earlier mentioned procedures or perhaps in case it's in an unusual state, such as displaying a prolonged Apple company logo on the screen, try resetting the device:
Resetting the iPhone or iPod touch.
Step 1. Push and hold the Sleep/Wake button as well as the Home key simultaneously for no less than 10 seconds.
Step 2. Keep pressing and holding them both until eventually you notice the display screen go black and then the white Apple company logo shows up.
Step 3. As soon as this takes place, you may release holding – during this time, the iPhone is restarting.
In case you are worried, an iPhone reset is not going to get rid of any data or even settings.
Resetting the iPhone is sometimes also referred to deleting all content from the iPhone and restoring from a back-up.
For iPhone 4, iPhone 3 G and iPhone 3 GS, the reset process is similar.
