How to restore image file on Mac OS x ?

Hi experts,
I am a new mac user. I have the permission of accessing all the files that I want to restore anytime . How can I access all the contents of disk images and how to restore image file on mac os x ? Please tell me anyone briefly. Advance thanks.

How to restore image file on Mac OS x ?

Hi Karla Mmmorrow, 

The install disc is used:- Insert the disc – Restart and hold down the key C. – Select your language. – Select the disk utility – Select the disk you wish to be back up- Verify and repair your disc- Using the toolbar, select the new image- Name your image- Encrypt the back up disk for more security- Save in the external hard disk A migration assistant can also be used.
