Please elaborate for me the steps to run a CCleaner Registry cleaner automatically.

The first thing to do is decide which the CCleaner will clean for example cookies or temporary files etc the follow these steps;

Go to Options, then select Advanced, please ensure ‘Save all settings to INI file’ is checked.
From the Start Menu, go to Programs then Accessories and go to System Tools
Click on Create Basic Task and provide a name for the task for example CC cleaner auto
Then you need to the select the time for the run select either weekly or daily
On the Start Menu, Go to C:Program FilesCCleanerCCleaner.exe and run it
The Add /auto switch on the Add Arguments box
Finish and choose Run with the highest privileges.

If you are using windows 7, then the following are the steps to set ccleaner to run automatically:

First, you will need to open the Task Scheduler by browsing to Accessories System Tools.
Once you have opened it, you will need to click the link for “Create Basic Task” on the right-hand side.
You will then choose the span you want it to be running, either “Daily” or “Weekly”.
The next step will be to choose a time of the day that your computer is usually on so as to be running ccleaner, but is should be a time that you are not using it.
You will then choose to “Start a program” in the next window and then go to the next screen.
Next you will browse down to the CCleaner executable file, which should be under: C:Program FilesCCleanerCCleaner.exe
You will need to ensure that you add the /AUTO switch to the “Add arguments” box.
And then you will click the box for “Open the Properties dialog” before clicking on the Finish button.
Choose the option for “Run with highest privileges”, which will make ccleaner automatically run with administrator privileges.
