How to screenshot video images in VLC player

Am using vlc 2.0 and I have tried to screenshot video images but I have totally failed to do so, can any one please give me the steps to do so.

How to screenshot video images in VLC player

Hi Aabel!

1. Open your video on VLC media player.
2. Pause your video to the point for which you need to capture image.
3. on Video menu click Snapshot (menu bar-> video-> Snapshot)
4. Your image is saved
5. You can access your image from default store location.
6. To change default storage location go Menu> Tools> Preference
7. Under Preference> video> video Snapshot section. Change your location.

How to screenshot video images in VLC player

Hi Aabel,

To take a screenshot of some video, follow the following steps.

• Open the video, and open in VLC media player.
• Pause the video at the exact moment of which you want to take a screen shot.
• Then press the "Prnt Scr" button on your button.
• Open paint. Select Edit -> Paste.
• You may do some post editing here, cut or select certain areas of the video. You may even ignore this step.
• Once done, you can save that paint image.
