Can someone please tell me how to set the outlook 2003 appointment calendar on Exchange server 2003 such that, no one apart from the intended user who happens to be my boss can have access to it? All my attempts made  to have his calendar private which include, configuring the default  permission on the calendar permission to ‘’NONE’’ and stopping  all his calendar activities being published by selecting appropriate options are yielding no results. Despite doing all these I am upbeat that any user can still access his calendar. I must be missing something, please help me figure it out what to have to be changed.

Hi Rae Pearce,

Three is an easy solution to this problem. As a newly added appointment is not marked private by default, you have to do it manually.

To do so, go to “Tools” menu & then select “Form” & then “Design a form”. Click on the “Appointment” button & select “open”. Scroll down at the bottom & click on the “private” check box. In the name box, add your desired name & select “publish”. Close it without saving. Then select “Go” menu & the “Folder list”. On the “calendar” folder, select “properties”. Then from the “When posting to this folder, use” select the form you created before. That’s it

Hope this helps.
