How to set a security password in flashdrive
Protection of USB is very necessary in this condition which you are described dear. There are many software who protect USB for use. But i recommend Usb-Secure software. First you can download a trial version, if you are satisfied then purchase a full version of this software. This software protect USB and other flash drives. Protection is PC independent, did not required installation and not require any administrator rights. USB Secure works with all types of portable like USB, Thumb drives, Memory sticks, External drives and Memory Cards.
For free download this software goto following link and enjoy :Â http://www.newsoftwares.net/usb-secure/

How to set a security password in flashdrive
Hello there,
It really is a great idea to setup a password on your flash drive to be able to protect your files. Nowadays, there are free password and encryption programs that you can avail. By the way encryption means that your data will be converted into code for the purpose of compression or for confidentiality. So first of all, there will be the encryption of every single files and folders on your flash drive. Here are the steps to do it:
-
Open a program, such as Microsoft Word. At the top of it, locate the menu bar, and from there search for Tools and click Options. Â
-
Then there will be a pop-up window, you need to select Security from the tabs that will appear. Your password is to be created in the Password to Open or Password to Modify section. At the lowest part of the box, click OK.
-
Then confirm your password. Drag the file (that is now protected) to the flash drive. Just enter your password if you want to open the file.
So next, you will need to encrypt your flash drive. I will recommend Cryptainer LE, it's free and easy to use. Here are the steps:
-
Download and install the program. Enter an 8-100 character password.
-
When the installation of Cryptainer LE is complete, you will need to install Cryptainer Mobile. At the top of the screen, find menu bar and then Tools. Then click on Install Cryptainer Mobile, and then follow the prompts.
-
Close the LE version and enter password for the Mobile version. Drag and drop your important files and folders to where your encrypted files are located.
