I have a psd image file that I would like to split in Photoshop then uploaded on the web. I'm using Adobe Photoshop which has the Content-Aware tool. I need to add a little tweak and edit some parts of the image. Can someone help me on how to split psd by layer for web using Photoshop?
How to split psd by layer for web using Photoshop?
Hello,
You can split your psd image file in Photoshop using Slice tool. Here are the steps: Open your image in Photoshop and decide which parts of the image you want to slice, example logo, banner, footer or something else and click on the slice tool from Tool Box. With slice tool draw a box on the parts from the image that you want to slice. Give a name to a slices by going in Slice Select Tool from the menu and double click on the slice, then change the name for the slice for ex. Logo. Finally go to File from menu and Save for web. Here you will select the sliced images and click on Save. In the Saved Optimized As choose to save as type: images only and then from Slices option choose your slices. After this you can open one by one and edit as you want.
Here is more detailed tutorial who will help you to slice and export the parts from image that you want: https://www.webdesign.org/tutorials/photoshop/web-layout/page-1.html
