How To Stop A Program From Loading At Start Up

I downloaded a new free game to try out the other day. Now every time I go to start my computer this game loads which slows it down and seems to take it over. How can I keep it from starting up on its own without having to delete it all together?

How To Stop A Program From Loading At Start Up

Hi Stephen,

 

This relates to the system config utility setup.

 

1 Press Windows tab+r , type msconfig in the Open field.

2 Go to the Startup tab and select or unselect the items which should not be launched at startup.

3 Once the selections are made, save the changes by pressing OK. The computer needs to be restarted for the changes to be implemented.
