Whenever I try to run Nero Burning ROM (any version) it shows up a message at the startup stating that “the Nero executable had been corrupted and the program cannot be started”. Even disabling and enabling the DMA has no effect
How to take care of corruption in my Nero burning ROM
Sounds to me like you have an infected copy of Nero, or a SUPER spyware program that killed Nero for you. Do as mentioned above, do a regedit and deleted everything to the reference of NERO (USE THAT KEYWORD), then if you have access to Norton, do a CLEANSWEEP for Nero and get rid of it.
After these things are complete get a GOOD virus scanner and scan for viruses, make sure that the virus definitions for the scanner you use are UP TO DATE. Afterwards, reboot and reinstall Nero. Good Luck!
PS: Oops! Forgot to mention. If you do not have access to Norton, you can do a free scan online at https://www.symantec.com

Hi Rhian,
It seems like your Nero Burning ROM has been infected by some malware that is disabling the program to initiate. I advise you to uninstall the Nero software from your Add/Remove Programs and then re-install it. I anticipate that it will then burn normally.
