When I first got my Windows laptop, I thought it would be good to have a password on, to ensure privacy, but lately I have only been using my laptop at my home, and realize that I waste a lot of time entering my password every time I want to logon. So I want to know how to enable Windows 8.1 auto login.

How To Enable Windows 8.1 Auto Login?

You are right, in your situation, it is better to enable the auto logging feature, which will save a lot of time for you.

The first thing to do is go on your home screen of your laptop and on your keyboard, click on the Windows button and the R button. This will open the run box for you. In the field, type netplwi. After you click on enter, you should see a list of all the user accounts you have on your computer. Just select the one that is yours and a new window will open. In that window, you should see a checkbox which asks you if you want the user to log on without a password. Just check it, and you’re done!
