I am unable to access files stored on an external device in the network. I am getting a 0x80070043 error that means the network name could not be found, but I checked it thoroughly. How can I fix this issue? I am using Windows 7.

How To Fix 0x80070043 Error In Windows 7?

You can try the following methods to fix the 0x80070043 error in Windows 7.

Method 1

a. Press Windows key + R.
b. Type gpedit.msc, and press enter.

c. You have to go to the following location – Local Computer Policy\Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\logon
d. Right-click on the option shown in the picture.
e. Go to properties.
f. Go to the Settings tab.
g. Click on Ok.
h. Restart your device.

Method 2

a. Open Command Prompt Admin.
b. Type SFC /scannow and press enter.

c. Wait for the process to complete.
d. Delete the corrupted files, if found, after the process is completed.
e. Make sure you are connected to the internet.
f. Type DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth, and press enter.
g. Wait for the process to complete.
h. Your error will no longer trouble you.
