Whenever I try to install updates on my Windows machine, it always finishes with an error code 0x800070005. How should I go ahead with these updates? I understand how important installing updates is.

How To Fix Error Code 0x800070005

The error code you are getting usually occurs when someone downloads a new version of Windows. This error code basically means that you were denied access to whatever you were trying to install.

To remove this error you can either try a new authentication key or a new boot drive to install a fresh version of Windows. Also, try using the Windows Update Troubleshooter. The results of the troubleshooter will show exactly what is wrong with your system. Unfortunately, there is nothing more that you can do with this. If it is too much pain, just back up all your data and install a clean version of Windows on your computer.
