Hello, I recently faced the same issue and I solved it by following a few steps which I will pin down for you. The reason for the error is because, after your update, the msvcr100.dll file would have been corrupted or probably deleted.
If your’s is a 32-bit system, you can find the file at C:\Windows\System32
If it is a 64-bit system, you can find the file at C:\Windows\SysWOW64
If it is missing, then download the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Service Pack 1 from the official Microsoft website.
If it is present, delete it and reinstall it. Another option is to copy the file to the external hard disk and re-paste it into the same location. One of the above steps should solve your issue. For me, the first step worked, and its no longer complaining.
