Hi, my Windows 10 got an update recently, and then I cannot start the camera. The drivers are up-to-date. How can I fix the error?

How To Fix The 0xa00f429f (0x80070003) Error In Windows 10?

There are a few ways that are helpful to fix the 0xa00f429f <WindowShowFailed> (0x80070003) error in Windows 10.

Method 1

a. Right-click on the start menu.
b. Open Windows Powershell (Admin).
c. Type Get-AppxPackage *camera* | Remove-AppxPackage, and press enter.
d. Restart your device.
e. Go to the MS Store, and search for Windows Camera App.
f. Install it, and check for the error.

Method 2

Read your laptop manual. There can be a function key that can disable or enable the camera. If the camera is disabled using that function key, you have to enable it.

Method 3

a. Press Windows + R on your keyboard.
b. Type services.msc, and press enter.

c. Double-click on the Windows Camera Frame Service.

d. Set the startup type to the manual, and start the service.
