Hello everyone,

I am using Remote Desktop gateway Windows Server 7.0. I want to change the port that RD gateway is listening to. When I change the port, it shows a warning that it will modify the listener rules, but successfully changes the port. But as soon as I try to connect using RD gateway, it asks me to type a valid remote desktop gateway server addressas in the error below:

Can someone help me in solving this error?

Hello,

The main reason behind this issue is that you are using Windows Server 7.0 and Remote Desktop Protocol does not support changing of port to a different one. There is a single solution to this problem. Try to open up a Windows 8 client, and enter the same details. Now, change the port. After saving the Gateway properties, again try to connect using RD server.

It will connect you successfully without any error this time.
