When I check for Windows update, I see no updates available, and I get the 0x800c0005 error. Is there any way to solve this problem?

How To Resolve 0x800c0005 Error When Updating Windows?

You can fix the 0x800c0005 error by registering the missing DLLs. If you have any antivirus running, you should disable it.

Method 1

a. If you have any third-party antivirus installed, search for it in the start menu.

b. Then, you find a disable/ turnoff button.

c. Click on it to disable the antivirus software.

Method 2

a. Press Windows + R.
b. Type cmd and press enter.
c. Type regsvr32 Softpub.dll and press enter.
d. Type regsvr32 Wintrust.dll and press enter.
e. Type regsvr32 Initpki.dll and press enter.
f. Restart your device.
g. Your error will be gone.
