I am using a Windows 7 operating system on my computer. I was trying to install a software using Windows Installer. I keep getting the error which says that the software change returned error code 0x87d01281(-2016406911). How do I resolve it?

Are you sure you have installed the program software correctly? It seems the issue is with the copy of software you have. Make sure the registry entries for the software are alright. You can do any of the following.

1. Delete all the temporary files, internet caches, and metadata. Restart your computer and reinstall the software.
2. Make sure the software is compatible with the system specification and meets all of the system requirements. Check the software is either 32-bit or 64-bit.
