Whenever I try to open the Windows Defender in my PC, I am getting an error windows defender error code 0x800106ba. It says “Application failed to initialize.” Please tell me how to correct this fault. Thank you in advance.

How To Solve Windows Defender Error Code 0x800106ba?

To remove the error, try to perform the following:

1. Make sure that the service in Windows Defender is set to “Automatic Loading” and also that the service is running.
2. Try to uninstall the Windows Defender. Then, install it again.
3. Register the DLL files of Windows Defender again.

To register DLL files, open command prompt, type “regsvr32 <dll file name>” and press enter.

Register these files for this purpose

regsvr32 wuaueng.dll,regsvr32 mssip32.dll, regsvr32 wucltui.dll, regsvr32 wups.dll, regsvr32 softpub.dll, regsvr32 wintrust.dll,regsvr32 atl.dll,regsvr32 wuweb.dll, regsvr32 initpki.dll

Now, restart your computer.
