My third-party antivirus expired recently, and I found out Windows Defender can protect my PC too. I encountered a 0x8007042c error while turning Windows Defender on. How can I solve this issue?

How To Solve Windows Firewall Error 0x8007042c?

Method 1

a. Go here
b. Download the software.
c. Run the executable file, and use it to perform a quick scan.

d. After you successfully scan your device, try to turn on your Windows Firewall.

If you are not able to solve your problem, using method 1, try another way.

Method 2

a. Press Windows + R key.
b. Type services.msc, and press enter.

c. Double-click on Windows Defender Firewall.
