How To Solve Windows Upgrade Error – 0x80070004?
I am using Windows 8.1 currently, and I wanted to upgrade to Windows 10, but when I am trying to do so, I get a 0x80070004 error. Can anyone help me here to solve this problem?

There are rules that you need to follow when upgrading to Windows 10. Follow the methods below to solve the 0x80070004 error.
Method 1-
a. Check the name of your Windows 8.1 device. You cannot use SYSTEM, LOCAL, SELF, System, and Network as device name if you want to upgrade to Windows 10.
b. Click on the start menu, and search the rename computer.
c. Click on change.
d. Type a new name, and save changes.
e. Try to upgrade Windows now.
Method 2
If you have moved the default folder of the C drive to some other drive, you will get this error. The default folders include Program Files, Users, etc.
a. Take a backup of all your files.
b. This method will remove all the files from your device and re-install Windows 8.1.
c. Go to Settings.
d. GO to Update and Security.
e. Go to Recovery.
f. You will find a section called Remove everything and reinstall Windows.
g. Click on Get Started.
h. After the process is complete, you can upgrade to Windows 10.
