I am running a Policy Service on Windows. I always manually start the service. Today, when I attempted to manually start the service, I got a message that said, cannot start Diagnostic Policy Service error 5 access is denied. Please try later. What should I do?

There are several solutions to your problem. Some of them are listed below.

1. Go to the Windows Troubleshooter. The TroubleShooter will automatically scan and repair any problems that it can find. Restart the Diagnostic Policy Service and try to set it to manual. The error must be gone.
2. Initiate the command prompt from the Start Menu as the administrator. Enter the command ‘net localgroup Administrators /add networkservice’ and then press enter. Enter the command ‘net localgroup Administrators /add localservice’ and then press enter.
3. Restart your computer.
