I am unable to perform a system restore on my Windows 10 PC. When I am doing the same, I am returned with a 0x80070017 System Restore error. Please help me to troubleshoot this error.

How To Troubleshoot The 0x80070017 System Restore Error In Windows 10?

You can try the below methods to troubleshoot the 0x80070017 system restore error in Windows 10 –

Method 1

a. Open This PC.
b. Right-click on the C drive (the drive with the Windows symbol on it).
c. Go to properties.
d. GO to tools.

e. Click on Check under the Error-checking section.
f. Scan for the errors and click on fix the errors automatically option.
g. Try to perform a system restore after the process ends.

Method 2 – Enable safe mode

a. Click on the start button.
b. You will find a settings symbol in the menu, click on it to open settings.
c. Click on Update & Security.
d. Go to Recovery.

e. Click on restart now under advanced startup.
f. Your PC will restart.

g. Click on Troubleshoot.

h. Go to Advanced options.

i. Open startup settings.

j. Press F4 to enter into safe mode.
k. Try to perform a system restore. Restart your device to enter into normal mode.
