a. Open Command Prompt as Admin.
b. Type Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and press enter.
c. Press Windows + R key.
d. Type services.msc, and press enter.
e. Right-click on Windows Update.
f. Click on Restart.
g. Now, right-click on Windows Modular Installer, and click on Restart.
h. Now, try to update your Windows.

a. Type services.msc, and press enter.
b. Right-click on Windows Update.
c. Go to properties.
d. Disable the service.

g. Open the Windows Folder.
h. Find the SoftwareDistribution folder.
e. Rename the folder as SoftwareDistribution.old.
