Adobe has provided with the best flash player out there, and I use it for many purposes. But, how can I verify Adobe Flash Player as the genuine version out there?

Verification of Flash Player can be done at the installation. Go to the official site of Adobe and iterate the steps. It prompts you to check if you have any of them installed on your computer. They also help you to download the Flash player, install and enable them on your browser. There is an animation with clouds which verifies if the genuine version of Adobe Flash Player is installed on your computer.

I don’t think there is a counterfeit or pirated version of the Adobe Flash Player plug-in and I also haven’t seen one since the time I first learned how to use the internet back in my student days.

If you want to make sure that the one you will be installing on your computer came from Adobe and not from some other rogue website, download it directly from the Adobe home page. Go to the Adobe Flash Player Download page and download the Flash Player plug-in. Here, the file you will be downloading is not the actual installer but an online installer.

The online installer is a tiny program which when you run will directly download the installation files for the Flash Player plug-in and will automatically install it. Once the installation is complete, the installation files get deleted. If you want to download the offline or standalone installers for all three types of Flash Player plug-in, download the following:

• Adobe Flash Player ActiveX – this version is designed for the Microsoft Internet Explorer web browser.
• Adobe Flash Player NPAPI – this version is designed for the Mozilla Firefox web browser.
