How to transfer DVDs into Mac iTunes?
Hi everyone, I have a huge collection of DVDs, which I wish to transfer to iTunes. I have tried several options to achieve it, but always ended up with no result. Can anyone me in this regard? Thanks.

Hi Shruti,
Unfortunately both QuickTime and iTunes in Mac, do not allow transferring videos from your DVDs. This is only possible in case of your purchasing DVDs, which come with a Digital Copy Redemption Code. With the help of your Apple account and this redemption code, you can transfer the DVD contents to iTunes. Hope this clarifies your doubt.
Mehak,
Can you explain a bit about Digital Copy Redemption Code? Can you enumerate the steps for the DVD content transfer? Thanks in advance.
Hi,
Just follow the below steps and you will accomplish the transfer:
1. Open iTunes.
2. In your DVD drive put the disc with Digital Copy Redemption Code.
3. You will see the DVD icon on the left pane of iTunes page.
4. Enter the code and click redeem.
5. Now you will be asked to enter your apple account details to redeem the code.
6. Once this is done the transfer takes place.
This clarifies my doubts. Okay how do I achieve the exact opposite, that is  to transfer the iTunes contents to my DVD?
Unlike transferring the contents of your DVD, to iTunes complexity, the vice-versa case is much simpler. You can easily save your iTunes movies, as backup to your DVD. But the only catch here is that, the DVD won't play in the normal DVD player. You need to use either, Apple TV or mobile devices (like iPod, iPhone, iPad) to connect to the TV via a proper cable to watch the DVD contents.
