A friend of mine has an issue with his IPad 2. Unfortunately,I do not have many details.
The only thing he told me is that he doesn't know how to transfer video from Linux to IPad 2.
So I ask you, can you tell me some solutions regarding this problem?
What methods could he use?
How to transfer video from Linux to Ipad 2 tablet
Hello Tony!
Here, you have a simple way to transfer files between your Linux and iPad without using Dropbox, iTunes or wireless connection.
First, download a video player application from the App Store. Flex Player for instance is free and has a lot of useful features, but basically you can use any application. Then, connect your iPad to your computer using the USB cable.
A Popup should appear showing you two options: My iPad (or what name you changed it into) and Documents on My iPad. Choose the second option and on the window that appears, choose the application you have just installed. It will look like an application, but it's actually a folder. Open it and open the Documents folder you found in it. All you have to do now is to copy your video files, and they will be visible on your video player.
Note that the player you chose might not support the codec of your video files, so in case you can't see the files inside the application, choose another player from the App Store.
Close and reopen the application if the files are not visible.
Try a lower resolution file, not all video players support high resolution videos.
Also, you may want to see all the hidden files when working inside the iPad documents, so press CTRL and H to see them.
Good luck!
