Recently I install Ubuntu in my PC. I prefer Adobe Photoshop to use in Microsoft XP operating system. Now I want to use Adobe Photoshop in my Ubuntu open source OS.
Is it possible to use this kind of software in my PC? If possible who can help me?
How to use Adobe Photoshop in Ubuntu
You can run any Windows program on Ubuntu by using wine. This is an opensource software.
You can install wine in ubuntu in two ways:
1. by typing this command in the terminal. apt-get install wine.
2. and there is also Ubuntu Software Center on the Application's menu. Open it and type “wine” at the search input box and look for it in the result then install.
Now that wine is installed, to install Adobe Photoshop:
right click the exe file and click “Open with Wine Windows Program Loader”
follow the instructions from the installation wizards of wine
To check if the application is installed. Go to Applications > Wine > Programs > Adobe PhotoShop
