How to use joystick instead keyboard

Hi,

I have HP nc6400 laptop. 

I play IGI game on it. 

But it is very difficult to control the game with the keyboard. 

How i want to connect and use the joystick to play games so that i can control game effectively. 

Can someone tell me how to connect and use joystick instead keyboard.

How to use joystick instead keyboard

Hi kurt,

 

This is very simple don’t worry. Follow these steps.

 

1. If you have plug n play joy stick then go to step 2 else install the driver of joystick’s company.

2. Attach the joystick

3. Start IGI

4. Set joystick controls for controlling the game

5. Play and enjoy

How to use joystick instead keyboard

Hi

joystick can be used with only games which are designed for joystick. Joystick usually works independent of keyboard and mouse. It allows you to play game as designed by developers. 

So you can only perform those task in IGI which are allowed or designed by developers.

You need to check game’s joystick setting.

Hi,

If your game having the joystick option then you can play that game with joystick because it depends upon the game design whether it is design for joysticj or not.

You can try the 3rd Party Tool Hope it may help you.

You can do this by mapping your keyboard controls to buttons on the joypad using ControlMK,

How to use joystick instead keyboard

It is easily to use joystick instead of your keyboard.  One way is to map your keyboard buttons on your joystick.

• joystick may mapped easily using CONTROLMK.

• Select  your type of your joypad from dropdown list and once you have select the correct  type of your joypad from both lists, controller found and activate controller.

• You have to create profile for a game, here you can create different profiles for different games, for every game, same key will be doing different job. Then click on joy pad command (x+,x- or etc).

• Then chose the functions from keyboard that you want to activate on your joypad for particular game from dropdown list from pop up window. When you have done mapping and then select the export , which is at on top at right and just save it.

Your device will start work as you want it.

If you are having trouble playing games with keyboard. You can play the games using Playstation joystick.

To do this you need to map your keyboard controls to buttons on your PS joystick.

Hello Kurt Andrew,

Try to buy a joystick.

Then plug it on your laptop.

Install it and Configure/ Edit the settings and the compatibility of both.

But joysticks are only can be use for games.

Best way is to use your keyboard.
